Manhattan, NY According to Tishman Speyer investment boutique Horizon Kinetics Asset Management LLC will relocate its current New York office to 18,713 s/f on the 27th floor of 1270 Avenue of the Americas at Rockefeller Center.

Founded in 1994, Horizon Kinetics is an independent, employee-owned investment management firm.

1270 Avenue of the Americas at Rockefeller Center is a 31-story office building located between 50th and 51st St. Completed in 1932, the art deco limestone edifice features the first work of art ever commissioned for Rockefeller Center, Robert Garrison’s “Morning, Evening, Present,” on its exterior façade. Radio City Music Hall is located on the ground floor of the building, and Radio Park, an exquisite green space exclusively for office customers and their guests, occupies 24,000 s/f on the roof. Tishman Speyer recently completed a new rooftop skybridge allowing direct access to Radio Park for office customers at 1270 Avenue of the Americas.

Horizon Kinetics’ team will have full access to Tishman Speyer’s global amenity program, ZO, which offers global access to high end lounge and work spaces, wellness services, and experiences at Tishman Speyer properties around the world. At Rockefeller Center, ZO amenities include exclusive pricing on attractions such as The Rink, The Beam, and Skylift; and perks at retailers such as J. Crew and Rough Trade, as well as dining options including Smith & Mills and Daily Provisions. Customers also enjoy access to the ZO Clubhouse on the 33rd floor of 1 Rockefeller Plaza as well as Radio Park, which has become a favorite destination.

“We are excited to be in the splendid Rockefeller Center property and are especially grateful to the team at Tishman Speyer for their help in facilitating our move into this storied location,” said Murray Stahl, chairman and chief executive officer at Horizon Kinetics Asset Management.

“Rockefeller Center has always been more than just a place to work; it’s a community at the heart of New York City,” said EB Kelly, senior managing director at Tishman Speyer and head of Rockefeller Center. “We are thrilled to have Horizon Kinetics join us at 1270 Avenue of the Americas, where they will enjoy the cultural vibrancy, green spaces, and unique experiences that make this campus unlike any other.”

Rockefeller Center is a global icon, built nearly a century ago as a “city within the city.” Today, under the stewardship of owner and operator Tishman Speyer, its collection of art deco buildings surrounding the world-renowned plaza and Rink together comprise the city’s most dynamic destination to work, play, dine, and shop.

In leasing the new space, Horizon Kinetics was represented by Marc Miller. Tishman Speyer was represented in-house by Blythe Kinsler and Kate Walker.
