Heller Industrial Parks honors brokers who completed 28 deals totaling 3,039,432 s/f in 2012

Heller Industrial Parks, one of the nation's largest privately held owners and developers of industrial real estate, hosted its annual broker recognition dinner to honor those who worked with Heller to complete 28 deals totaling 3,039,432 s/f in 2012. These transactions generated more than $1.5 million in broker commissions. The event was held on February 20th at the Stage Left Restaurant. "We have always valued our relationships with the brokers," said Heller SVP Steve Kaufman. "They have a passion for what they do and a tireless work ethic, making them an important aspect of why we are so successful in closing these deals." To keep open lines of communication with brokers, Heller sends out bi-weekly notices on availabilities in its portfolio and offers special promotions. Those efforts are just part of the firm's relationship-centric approach and dedication to real estate fundamentals. Kaufman adds that brokers appreciate working with Heller because the company maintains a robust financial condition that enables them to establish rental rates that are lower than neighboring industrial property owners. Also envied is Heller's pattern of reducing mortgages and lowering expenses to increases profits, which are then reinvested back into the properties.
