Hastings Capital progressing on 30,000 s/f multi-tenant office/industrial building, Leonardo Place, 25 DaVinci Dr.

Bohemia, NY In January 2023, Hastings Capital broke ground at what will be known as Leonardo Place, an office/industrial space located at 25 DaVinci Dr. Hastings has owned the land for approximately twenty years.

“We are excited to see this project come to fruition,” said Bob Birnbaum, CEO, Hastings Capital, “and we are eager to serve a growing industrial market in the region.”

Leonardo Place will be a 30,000 s/f multi-tenanted office and industrial building. The site is two-acres and has close access to the Long Island Expwy. (Rte. 495), the Sunrise Hwy. (Rte. 27), the Long Island MacArthur Airport and is less than 40 minutes to LaGuardia and JFK airports. The building will be complete by the second quarter of 2024.

“With the close proximity to major airports, as well as highways and interstates, this building will be an asset to any tenant looking for space,” Birnbaum said.

The building will be zoned for industrial, R&D and light manufacturing. Leonardo Place will be subdivided into twelve separate units ranging in size from 1,500-2,000 s/f. With this mixture of available space, potential tenants can mix and match to the size space they require. The steel is already up and the construction is steadily moving forward.

“We are pleased to see progress on the project so quickly and are hopeful that this time next year, it will be filled with tenants,” said Birnbaum. “There is a dearth of industrial warehouse space in the area, and we are happy to fill that need in the market.”

The final building at Leonardo Place will be of traditional brown brick construction with a steel frame, with a classic design, built to withstand the test of time. The project is well underway, with steel already up.

Bohemia is an ideal business location, in a small close-knit community situated in the mid-point of Long Island, making this a highly accessible site for employers, employees and major transportation. The site is also located close to the Connetquot River State Park Reserve. The 3,473-acre preserve has rare birds and plants, with trails, guided nature walks & river fishing.

“We are excited to begin the leasing process, and to getting construction completed so that Leonardo Place becomes a reality,” Birnbaum. “For this unique property, we are fortunate to have a premier team to design, build and lease Leonardo Place,” Birnbaum said. “I am appreciative of their good work to date and look forward to announcing the topping off in 2024!”

Hastings’ project team includes: Arditto Mason Contractors; Millicia Electric; Bob Graham Plumbing Contractors; HJR Landscaping; Wood Art Construction; Formation Concrete; HT Steel; Par Asphalt Contractors; 6Gs Roofing; Irrigation Services of Long Island; Ira Levine Esq; Metro Reality; Designs by Vera; Alarm Tech; Titan Fire Sprinklers; Catering by Kathy; Liberty HVAC; Irrigation services of Long Island; Bills Custom Welding; Soil Mechanics, Inc.; Logistical Coordinator Peter Spinelli, Nick Romano of Metro Realty, and Paul Perez from Impact Images.
