Brooklyn, NY Climbers can conquer new challenges, scale unique courses, and tap into their inner adventurer at the new action-packed indoor climbing gym HAPIK, opening in Building 6 at Industry City, the 35-acre mixed-use complex comprising 16 waterfront buildings in Sunset Park. The 15,000 s/f adventure gym is HAPIK’s first in New York City, following locations in Yonkers, Los Angeles, and Firewheel, TX. and will offer more than 50 climbing walls, two rope courses, and space to accommodate birthday celebrations and group events.

HAPIK launches participants to new heights through climbing walls that reach up to 24 ft. in height, rope courses with varying difficulty levels, and vertical challenges with eccentric designs, like Bambous, Walk The Plank, or the Rubik, as well as an interactive digital treasure hunt perfect puzzle-solvers that can be partaken by solo climbers or as a competitive birthday party upgrade. HAPIK aims to provide an exciting entryway into the world of climbing and encourage participants of all ages – from children to young professionals and parents alike – to further develop their self-confidence, explore the world of climbing, and accomplish great things. Each of the course challenges utilizes an auto belay system to ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone.

“We are so excited to bring the wonderful world of HAPIK to Industry City,” said Antoine Richard, president, HAPIK. “With this location, we saw an opportunity for HAPIK to serve as a ground for educational experiences that help build self-confidence, team bonding, and celebration amongst friends and family. This location will take New York City to new heights – literally – and we can’t wait for Brooklyn to get to know us.”

“HAPIK is everything we are about at Industry City, from their ability to transport people to unforgettable experiences where bonds are built, and in their commitment to create a space where climbers of all ages can tap into their inner adventure-seekers,” said Jim Somoza, managing director, Industry City. “This announcement demonstrates our commitment to providing unique and engaging entertainment and experiences for our tenants and community members, and we look forward to the endless memories to be made at HAPIK in Industry City.”
