Grant of CB Richard Ellis re-elected as Upstate Appraisal Institute president

Albany, NY The Upstate New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute has re-elected Mark Grant, MAI as president for 2017. The Appraisal Institute is recognized as the leader in the real estate appraisal industry and is one of the oldest organizations of real estate appraisers in the world

Grant is a vice president for CB Richard Ellis. He has vast experience in the appraisal of a variety of properties for public, institutional and private clients throughout parts of the Northeast.

The other 2017 officers include William Beyerbach, MAI, SRA as vice president; Philip Coughlin, MAI as treasurer and Stephen Ferrara, SRA as secretary. New directors are Walter Copeland, SRA and William Keast. These new directors will join the current board members which include Daniel Barnard; Robin Kubicki, MAI; John Rynne, MAI, SRA; Michael Coles; Shawn Riley and William Kimball, MAI.

The Upstate New York Chapter has a total membership, as of September 2016, of 157 members, including 64 members holding the MAI designation, 32 holding the SRA designation, 22 Candidates for Designation, 32 Practicing Affiliates and 3 Affiliate Members. Chapter seminars and courses are held frequently throughout the year, including our chapter developed "Case Studies in the Valuation of Upstate NY Real Estate.
