Goldberg & Connolly and Deloitte present panel on E-Discovery Construction Litigation on February 14th
Goldberg & Connolly, along with Deloitte, presented a panel titled "E-Discovery Construction Litigation: How to Minimize Costs & Maximize Results" on February 14, 2 at Deloitte's 30 Rockefeller Plaza office. The program was moderated by Goldberg & Connolly's managing partner, Henry Goldberg and Frank Regnery, P.E., principal in the capital projects practice of Deloitte. Panelists included Deloitte's Mark Cohen, director in capital projects, Erik Harssema, CISSP, senior manager in discovery, and Goldberg & Connolly's Michael Rosenthal and Jeffrey Scott. Speakers discussed various ways to successfully approach electronic discovery, which refers to any process in which electronic data is sought, located or secured, and searched with the intent of using it at as evidence in a civil or criminal legal case.
Highlights included a discussion of why the construction industry is at the forefront of E-discovery technology, how to begin preparing for E-discovery before a project begins, and which types of data must be preserved for construction projects.
The panel also explained the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), a well-known model often used to help understand and compartmentalize the work and phases of E-discovery.
