GDC reports strong leasing activity at Riverside Luxury Rental Community

Riverside Riverside at Harbors-at-Haverstraw - Haverstraw, NY
HAVERSTRAW, NY Riverside at Harbors-at-Haverstraw, the latest resort-style luxury rental apartment residence developed by Ginsburg Development Companies (GDC), is off to a fast start with half of the apartments leased in just four months. Since the grand opening in early June, 53 of the 106 apartments have been leased, making Riverside one of the hottest new rental communities in the region. “We are pleased with the tremendous reception Riverside has received in the last several months. Clearly, there is a demand for the kind of resort lifestyle that we are creating on the Hudson River,” said Martin Ginsburg, Principal of GDC. “We are particularly pleased to see the number of young Millennials who are leasing here as they represent the fastest growing segment of the luxury rental market nationwide. With its contemporary styling, luxury amenities and spectacular setting on the Hudson River, Riverside is a perfect fit for the Millennial generation,” he added. Millennials – those 18-34 years of age -- represent the single largest age group leasing at Riverside, accounting for 32% of all Riverside residents. Also indicative of the trend toward Millennials, 14% of Riverside residents were previously living with family or friends. Riverside is also attracting empty nesters, with about 23 percent having moved from a home they owned. While most new residents come from Rockland County almost 50% come from New Jersey, Westchester and other locations. What appeals to all generations is the “magic” and beauty of the architecture, landscaped walks and beautiful Hudson River Promenade leading to the fountain, kayak launch, commuter ferry and marina.  It makes the Harbors community very special. Riverside, which is the current phase of GDC’s Harbors-at-Haverstraw riverfront community, features studio, 1 and 2-bedroom apartments ranging in size from 621 to 1,546 square feet. Monthly rents at Riverside range from $1,795 for a studio to $3,595 for a duplex two-bedroom, 2.5-bath apartment with den and two balconies overlooking the Hudson. The contemporary styled apartments feature the latest in kitchen designs with Euro-style cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, glass mosaic backsplash and island breakfast bar. Other luxury features include designer bathrooms, wood laminate floors in living areas, large walk-in closets and washer and dryer in units. Most apartments have views of the Hudson River to the east and/or High Tor Mountain to the west. Luxury amenities include an elegant double-height lobby, gym, club room and outdoor pool overlooking the Hudson. Parking is available in a fully enclosed garage and reserved outdoor spaces. The building is pet-friendly and smoke-free. In addition to Riverside's amenities, residents can also enjoy full access to the Harbor Club at Harbors-at-Haverstraw which boasts a large fitness center, indoor basketball court, party room, billiards, cinema, spa, two additional outdoor pools and a cafe.
