Durels of SL Green leases 112,940 s/f to MTA at 333 West 34th Street
According to SL Green Realty Corp., the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has signed a 112,940 s/f, 10-year lease at 333 West 34th St. covering floors 7-10.
SL Green completed a redevelopment of the building, which was previously occupied entirely by Citigroup. SL Green's capital improvement program includes a new and expanded lobby, entrance and upgraded security. Additionally, a new storefront was installed in connection with the creation of 20,000 s/f of new retail space.
Josh Kuriloff and Rob Lowe of Cushman & Wakefield represented the MTA, while SL Green was represented in-house by Steven Durels together with Paul Glickman, Tara Stacom, Mitti Liebersohn, Doug Dolgoff and Diana Biasotti of Cushman & Wakefield.
"This lease raises office occupancy at the building to over 81%," said Durels, executive VP and director of leasing and real property for SL Green. "It's a tremendous accomplishment given that the building was scheduled to be 100% vacant only five months ago."
