Crystal Window and Door Systems joins with Adler Windows to support the New York Cares Annual Winter Coat Drive

FLUSHING, NY National manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems, headquartered in New York City, is once again joining with premier window installer Adler Windows and other businesses to support the New York Cares Annual Winter Coat Drive. Crystal’s  manufacturing facility is serving as a drop-off and collection point for donated winter outerwear.

“Our convenient location and our extensive network of hundreds of trade customers and vendors in the New York Metro area make Crystal’s headquarters and sales office the ideal location for the coat collection center,” said Steve Chen, president.  “We also have 375 caring employees at this facility, so we expect a generous coat drive to help those less fortunate in our community.”

Donors for the New York Cares annual Winter Coat Drive can drop off a gently used or new coat at Crystal headquarters at 31-10 Whitestone Expressway in Flushing, Queens, at the intersection of College Point Boulevard and 31st Avenue.  Donations will be accepted through December 21, during Crystal’s hours of operation.

Crystal has a long history of stepping up to help its fellow New Yorkers as well as others in need around the world.  The company’s philanthropic engagement in the community includes support for The Child Center of New York, St. Mary’s Hospital for Children, and health initiatives at the New York Blood Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital.  Crystal and its employees have responded numerous times to support relief for victims of natural disasters here and abroad, such as earthquakes in China and Haiti, Hurricane Katrina, and the South Asian Tsunami.  Following the 9/11 World Trade Center attack, Crystal set aside a percentage of year-end sales for local relief organizations. New York Cares, founded in 1987, coordinates volunteer programs throughout the city, connecting volunteers, businesses, and non-profits to make a difference in lives of all New York residents.  This is the 30th annual winter coat drive sponsored by the organization, which collects over 100,000 coats each year to distribute via social service agencies, shelters, and other local non-profit organizations.
