Consolo, Aquino, and Maglio represent Tahl Propp Equities in long-term lease at 2113 Frederick Douglass Blvd.
The leasing team of Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, executive VP, along with Arthur Maglio of Douglas Elliman's Retail Group has arranged a long-term lease for Maharaja Palace Restaurant, at 2113 Frederick Douglass Blvd., between 114th and 115th Streets. Known for its expansive menu, which includes unique Goan and southern Indian dishes, it will be the restaurant's second Manhattan location.
"The same owner has had a popular restaurant on Madison Avenue in Carnegie Hill for several years," pointed out Consolo. "This expansion into Harlem speaks volumes about the neighborhood and emerging customer base."
Maglio said, "The previous tenant was also a food establishment, but one that was reflective of earlier times in the area. Maharaja Palace is more of an upscale restaurant and the first to offer this type of cuisine on the block."
In addition to the current lease, the Douglas Elliman Retail Group team has been responsible for bringing many restaurants and food service groups to Harlem, including Ottomanelli's Wine & Burger Bar, Chill Berry, Pa-paya Seed and City Cookhouse. It has also been instrumental in securing locations in the neighborhood for numerous government groups, community-based organizations and medical facilities, such as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Internal Revenue Service, Children's Aid Society, Ralph Lauren Center for Cancer Care and Prevention, Friends of the Children, AIDS Services Center NYC, Sunshine Day Care, Pono Learning and Fifth Avenue Social Adult Day Care.
Consolo, Aquino and Maglio represented the landlord Tahl Propp Equities during the transaction. The tenant's broker was Walker Malloy.
Brooklyn, NY Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of 733 Dekalb Ave., a fully free-market multifamily and retail property in the Bed-Stuy neighborhood. The asset sold for $2.8 million.
