City of Buffalo provides $202,165 to the Olmsted Parks Conservancy's reforestation program
According to mayor Byron Brown, the city will grant $202,165 to the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy's reforestation program. The funds will be used to help revive the park system after the 2006 October storm.
The storm damaged 80 to 90% of the 12,000 trees in the system.
The grant will be provided from the $1 million city reforestation fund.
