Cherniak appointed the COO of Cohen Brothers Realty

Charles Cohen, chairman and president of Cohen Brothers Realty Corp. has named Steven Cherniak its COO. Cherniak joined the firm a year ago as a senior VP after a long career at Solow Realty & Development Co. In his new post, Cherniak will assist Cohen in all aspects of the company's operations, which includes owning, managing and operating over 12 million s/f of commercial properties in New York, Texas, Florida and southern California. "I'm confident that Steven's broad talents and extensive experience will make him an exceptional COO for our company," said Cohen. During his 25 years with Solow Realty, Cherniak served in a variety of senior posts, including CEO. A graduate of the City University of New York, Cherniak is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), a Registered Apartment Manager (RAM) with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and a senior member of the Young Men's/Women's Real Estate Association of New York (YM/WREA).
