Call for nominations for Rochester BOMA board

BOMA Rochester continues to grow in membership with over 125 members and our meeting attendance also continues to grow. Providing high quality programs, necessary educational opportunities, business networking, social events and other needed services is the role of the Board Members and supportive volunteers. This fall BOMA Rochester will be electing officers and directors for two-year terms. We would very much welcome your involvement by serving on the board of directors or nominating someone you believe has the desire to serve the association. The deadline for submission of nominees is Friday, September 12. The ballots will be sent to the membership in October with the election taking place on November 19 at the Annual Business Meeting at Mario's Italian Steakhouse. Board members serve as officers and as chairs of various committees. The full by-laws are included in your membership directory. The board meets once each month for about an hour and half with additional committee work done throughout the month. If you would like to have your name on the ballot please contact me at the BOMA Greater Rochester office at (585) 586-6906 or e-mail to [email protected] If you would like to nominate someone else, we ask that you contact that individual before submitting their name to the office. Serving in a leadership position of your professional association should be considered an honor and a privilege and one that we hope you will give serious consideration to performing. Richard Rivers is the executive director of Rochester BOMA and the president of The Rivers Organization, East Rochester, N.Y.
