Buchbinder & Warren arranges 2,700 s/f lease

William Abramson and Annie Yao of Buchbinder & Warren Realty Group LLC arranged a 2,700 s/f lease on behalf of the landlord to Stumptown at 30 West 8th St. The 10-year lease consists of 1,700 s/f in retail, a 1,000 s/f basement and 55 ft. in frontage on the corner. The tenant rep was Thor Street Advisors. Stumptown U.S.A is known for serving the most coveted coffees around the world and will be opening their 2nd location in the city. Currently, they have one location in the Ace Hotel and the coffee is roasted nearby in Red Hook, Brooklyn. With seven stores in Seattle, Wash. and Portland, Oreg., their standards of excellence in adhering to strict quality control, farm-direct sourcing, and small-batch artisanal roasting has been emulated by roasters country-wide. Abramson (director of sales & leasing) said, "This property created significant interest in the brokerage community, but the landlord was committed to going to lease with the best possible tenant that would bring significant foot traffic to the area. This tenant will help transform the once vibrant commercial corridor on 8th St., between 5th & 6th Ave. The tenant will invest significant capital into the build out and their quality product and customer service will guarantee additional foot traffic in the area." Yao said, "Their fresh farm to cup coffee concept is well suited to appeal to the neighboring demographics and we are very excited about Stumptown becoming a West Village destination cafe."
