Bonett and Cohn of Adams & Co. arrange 9,341 s/f lease; Gottlieb and Gervino of Avison Young rep tenant

Manhattan, NY Adams & Co. Real Estate has completed a 9,341 s/f lease for Curtis Partition, a leading New York City drywall and ceiling trades contractor, at 253 West 35th St. The company will occupy the entire ninth floor of the 16-story building, located between Seventh and Eighth Aves., when it relocates from its current headquarters on Eighth Ave. and 35th St.

 Alan Bonett and Bradley Cohn of Adams & Co. represented the landlord, Shulsky Properties, while Michael Gottlieb and Joseph Gervino of Avison Young represented the tenant. 

“Curtis Partition needed a larger, more modern and efficient space to accommodate its growing number of employees and clientele,” said Bonett, an executive managing director at Adams & Co. “It was important to Curtis Partion’s executive team that they remain in the Garment District, allowing the company to be easily accessible to the contractors and developers that they serve.”

Founded more than 50 years ago, Curtis Partition is a leading drywall and ceiling trades contractor. The privately owned firm specializes in interior and core and shell work in the residential, institutional and retail construction sectors. 

Notable projects include work completed at The Brooklyn Museum, The Ark at John. F. Kennedy International Airport, WeWork and The New York Stock Exchange. Curtis Partition is recognized as a state certified minority subcontractor.
