Buffalo, NY On Wednesday, September 20, The Building Owners & Managers Association of Buffalo (BOMA) had a privilege of being the last public tour of the highly anticipated Oishei Children’s Hospital before it’s opening in November at the September monthly meeting.

The tour, led by Turner Construction and Kaleida Health, included patient rooms, the ambulatory center and surgery rooms, as well as a visit into the extensive two-floor mechanical space. The facility will also include a green house. The tour guides were thorough in explaining many efficiency changes that make the hospital innovative from the nurse’s station layouts to the facility management systems.

Lunch was hosted in the Conventus building prior to the tour with a brief presentation on the construction, planning, and organizing that has been underway during the 10-year project. Constellation, An Energy Company was the meeting sponsor. The event sold out with over 100 BOMA members and colleagues in attendance.
