Bergman of Muss Development signs Mediterranean restaurant at 7000 Austin St.

Queens, NY Muss Development LLC has completed a long-term restaurant lease at its 7000 Austin St. property in Forest Hills. The Mediterranean restaurant, scheduled to open by year’s end, will occupy the 8,631 s/f first floor. The space was most recently occupied by TGI Fridays.

The new restaurant is owned by a group which operates several other restaurants across Queens, Manhattan, and Staten Island.  

“Well located neighborhood retail continues to thrive in Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island,” said Jason Muss, president of Muss Development. “We are pleased to welcome this high-end Mediterranean restaurant to 7000 Austin St. and to Forest Hills. We believe it will be a great fit with our other tenants, the shopping corridor and the entire neighborhood.”

Located between 69th Rd. and 70th Ave., 7000 Austin St. is a two-story, 78,938 s/f office and retail mixed-use property with 400 rooftop parking spaces. It is also the largest retail facility on an established destination and shopping corridor in the community of Forest Hills.

One block from Queens Blvd., 7000 Austin St. is a walk to the E, F, M and R subways and the LIRR and express buses. Additional tenants at 7000 Austin St. include Target, Starbucks, Men’s Wearhouse, Summit Health, and Health Acquisition Corp. Notable other tenants on Austin St. include Gap, Ann Taylor Loft, Sweetgreen, Chipotle, Shake Shack, Banana Republic, and Tacombi, among others.
