Avison Young leases 9,200 s/f for Corcoran Group

Manhattan, NY Avison Young has arranged a new, full-floor 10-year lease at 220 West 19th St. on behalf of landlord Red Circle NY Corp. for the relocation of The Corcoran Group’s Chelsea office from 218 West 18th St. The 9,200 s/f lease will account for the entire fifth floor of this owner-occupied office building and is fully built, furnished, and wired.

Red Circle NY was represented by Michael Gottlieb, Martin Cottingham, Patrick Steffens, Joel Wechsler, and Alexis Odgers, all based in Avison Young’s New York City office. The Corcoran Group was represented in-house by Elliot Dennis and Paul Wexler.

“The value of having move-in ready space that is fully built and furnished continues attracting occupiers of all types in Manhattan. Being able to immediately occupy the space will streamline and facilitate The Corcoran Group’s relocation of its Chelsea office,” said Gottlieb.

The property was built in 1910 and is the headquarters of Only The Brave Group (Italian fashion company) for its North American operations. The building contains approximately 100,000-sf of boutique office space and street-level retail, including a Crunch Gym and access to nearby neighborhood amenities that include the High Line, Chelsea Market, and numerous restaurants.

In addition to The Corcoran Group, Avison Young recently arranged leases of the property’s two penthouse suites for Celtra, Inc. and Covisian US, Inc. The Avison Young team is also marketing three other available floors in the building on behalf of ownership.

“The Corcoran Group will be an outstanding addition to our tenant roster, and we are thrilled to welcome them into the building,” said Danilo Durante, CEO and Vice President of Red Circle NYC Corp.
