09-13-2012 - Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors hosts Golf Outing and Dinner for Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley

The Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors (HGAR) is sponsoring a Golf Outing and Dinner for Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley on September 13 at the Falkirk Estate & Country Club. This year's theme is "Dream, Wish, Hope" for Make-A-Wish. The non-profit group grants the wishes of Hudson Valley children who are suffering with life-threatening medical conditions. The Golf Outing begins with registration at 10:30 a.m., followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. and shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m., and then dinner and dancing from 7 to 10 p.m. This is HGAR's first involvement with Make-A-Wish, but the former Orange County Association of Realtors (OCAR) had been working with Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley for the past 15 years. "This organization has been making a huge difference in the lives of these children for more than 25 years, and we are so pleased to be able to offer our help," said Ann Garti, COO, Hudson Gateway MLS and former OCAR CEO. Tickets for the Golf Outing and Dinner are $150 per person, and tickets for dinner only are $45 per person. For more information about the event, or to purchase tickets, please visit www.HGAR.com. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley has granted more than 2,000 wishes to Hudson Valley children with life-threatening medical conditions. Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley serves eight counties: Delaware, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Ulster and Westchester. The organization is currently working on 160 wishes with the average cost of a wish ranging from $7,500 to $10,000. The Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® is a not-for-profit trade association covering over 9,000 real estate professionals doing business in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, and Orange counties. HGAR is comprised of the former Westchester Putnam Association of REALTORS® (WPAR), Rockland County Board of REALTORS® (RCBR) and Orange County Association of REALTORS® (OCAR).
