Hunt of Hunt Corp. elected to the executive board of Boys Scouts of America, Suffolk County Council

According to Hunt Corporate Services, Inc., David Hunt, president of the firm, has been elected to the executive board of the Suffolk County Council, Boy Scouts of America. Hunt is the president and founder of Hunt Corporate Services and Hunt Construction Services, Inc. Hunt is an Eagle Scout, and has been an active scouting volunteer for many years. He is currently an assistant scoutmaster and eagle coach with Troop 113 in Centerport, a member of the advancement committee of the Matinecock District, and a merit badge counselor for 11 different subjects. He is also the founder and blogger at EagleCoach.org, a website devoted to assisting scouts achieve the rank of Eagle Scout. In Nov. of 2013, he was presented with the annual Distinguished Citizen Award by Suffolk County Council. Suffolk County Council, BSA provides a values-based program that develops character, teaches citizenship, and encourages personal fitness to more than 12,000 youth each year. The council was chartered on April 6, 1919 to instill values and expand the scouting movement in Suffolk County. Mark Businski, council president, said, "We are thrilled to have David join us on the executive board. He is a long-time supporter of scouting, and his election to the board was unanimous." "I am tremendously honored to be joining the executive board of one of the very best councils in the U.S.," said Hunt. "The Eagle Scout graduation rate of Suffolk County Council is twice the national average. Out of 281 councils in the U.S., we lead the nation in scout advancement and rank 10th in Cub Scout advancement. We are the only council that has a special needs division. And our retention rate is 80%, one of the highest in the northeast region. So I am joining a great team!"
