Herold of Certilman Balin to be honored by UCP of Suffolk

The United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Suffolk, Inc. (UCP of Suffolk) will honor David Herold, partner in the commercial lending practice group at Certilman Balin, at their annual Golf Scramble on August 3rd, at the Nissequogue Golf Club. Herold has been a generous supporter of UCP of Suffolk and has been involved with the Scramble for years. "I'm impressed and moved by UCP of Suffolk's facility, staff and the participants," he said. "I am honored to help in any way that I can." Herold represents institutional lenders financing multifamily and commercial properties and documenting credit facilities for middle market and small business borrowers with a focus on condominium associations and home owners associations. In addition to conventional mortgage financing, he has experience in a variety of lending transactions including: leasehold financing, mezzanine financing, receivable financing and lending to borrowers in connect ion with EB - 5 Immigrant Investor Program projects. In addition to his lending practice, he acts as counsel to banks in connection with general banking and cash management matters, including negotiation of inter-creditor agreements, lockbox and other account agreements. He has lectured on the subjects of providing loans to condominium associations secured by their common charges and assessments pursuant to Section 339-jj of the NYRPL and bridge lending to developers who are awaiting EB-5 funding. Active in the community, he serves on the board of directors of Long Island Cares The Harry Chapin Food Bank and is currently the Chairman of their fundraising and development committee. He received his bachelor of science in Finance from Boston College in 1991 and his juris doctor from St. John's University School of Law in 1996. As a member of the New York State and American Bar Associations, he is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the United States Supreme Court.
