Haque Who or what has been the strongest influence on your career and why? The strongest influence on my career was having a good mentor/mentee relationship. Early on in my career, I worked with an equity partner who had been practicing law for 20 years. I learned a tremendous amount from working with him on his deals and he was my mentor while I was an associate and continued to be my mentor when I left the firm for an in house position. Throughout my career, he has been an invaluable resource for legal training, direction and career advice. Today, we still have a strong professional relationship and continue to work together. Where would you like to be 10 years from today? Ten years from today, I see myself in more of a business role rather than in a purely legal role. Several members of the executive management team at Hunt Mortgage Group are former lawyers who transitioned from the legal side to the business side of commercial real estate. While I see myself practicing law for the foreseeable future, I'd like to grow my business skill set in conjunction with my legal skills. I want to challenge myself with new areas and do a variety of functions in my commercial real estate career.
