Greater Binghamton Airport celebrates one-year anniversary with Avelo Air flights to Florida

Binghamton, NY The Greater Binghamton Airport (BGM) is celebrating its one-year anniversary of partnering with Avelo Air to provide nonstop flights from BGM to Orlando.

Starting November 2022, air travelers have been enjoying direct flights to Orlando International Airport. Passengers who fly BGM to MCO (Orlando) have the advantage of going from the car to the gate without the wait, saving money by skipping the drive to larger airports while enjoying affordable parking. and quicker TSA lines. In their first year of flying BGM-MCO, Avelo has flown over 32,000 people into and out of Broome County.

“It is so uplifting to see Avelo’s success here at BGM. We are thrilled to see happy faces and satisfied passengers flying to and from Orlando,” said airport commissioner Heefner. “We cannot overlook the fact that Avelo is flying a quality service into the heart of Orlando. This is a huge success for our community, the quality of life offered, and the tourism that Broome County generates.”

We are so happy to have seen the success of the Avelo flight take off in the last year, and are looking forward to supporting the growth of Avelo’s presence at BGM.”
