Global Security appoints Harlick to V.P. of sales and mktg.

Global Security Associates LLC has appointed Peter Harlick to vice president of sales and marketing. Harlick will be responsible for the overall sales growth through new business development from the company's core vertical markets: aviation security, uniformed guard division, government, special operations and corporate events. Having been an active member of the security industry since 2002, Global Security Associates will benefit from Harlick's vast industry knowledge and relationships as the company looks to expand and partner with firm's ancillary to its core service areas. "As our commitment to our customers continues to grow and expand, Peter's knowledge and understanding of sales and marketing will help to communicate our corporate message to existing and potential customers worldwide," said William McGuire, president and CEO of GSA, adding, "Peter has been vital to our company's growth during times when additional leadership for multiple emergency response projects was vital. He has provided additional strategic guidance and consulting on various projects in the past involving executive, dignitary and celebrity protection details. Most recently Peter offered his services during GSA's response to the needs of clients in the Gulf Region following Hurricanes Katrina and Gustav." Based at Global Security Associates' new Charlotte, North Carolina regional office, Harlick will be in charge of building the sales team, creating and implementing print and online media strategies, trade show planning, website development and corporate branding.
