Giaccio joins Cole Schotz P.C.

Manhattan, NY Evelyn Giaccio has joined Cole Schotz P.C. as a member of the firm’s real estate department.

Giaccio’s practice focuses on matters pertaining to real estate finance, acquisition and disposition, joint venture, leasing, private equity, development and construction.

Giaccio brings over 20 years of legal experience advising national and multinational companies on a wide breadth of legal, regulatory, litigation and compliance matters across various real estate assets and transactions.

“We are thrilled to welcome Evelyn to the firm, where she will add to the growing expertise and expanding capabilities of our real estate department,” said Leo Leyva, co-chair of the firm’s litigation, real estate and real estate special opportunities departments. “Evelyn’s extensive experience in real estate, combined with her background in both in-house and big law, will allow her to provide valuable guidance to our clients.”

Giaccio joins the firm from Counterpointe Sustainable Real Estate LLC, a subsidiary of Massachusetts Mutual, where she served as managing director and general counsel. Her most recent law firm experience was at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.

“I am thrilled to be joining Cole Schotz and adding my corporate experience to their highly regarded real estate department in New York and throughout the country,” said Giaccio. “I look forward to working alongside the firm’s talented lawyers and contributing to the growth of the firm’s presence in the real estate market.”

 Giaccio is admitted to the New York and Connecticut State Bars. She earned her J.D. from Harvard Law School and received an M.S. in Real Estate Development and Investment from the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate, as well as a B.A. in Economics from Barnard College.
