Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. welcomes Gordon as director

Woodbury, NY Gettry Marcus CPA, P.C. welcomes Brian Gordon, CPA, as director. As a state and local tax specialist (SALT), Gordon’s primary function focuses on residency, sales tax and NEXUS issues, NYS tax audit and controversy representation.  

Gordon was with the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance for over 30 years where he rose to the rank of district audit manager of Manhattan and Brooklyn districts.  In this role, he worked on many high profile residence audits including professional athletes, entertainers and other high net worth individuals. Prior to joining Gettry Marcus, Gordon held a similar position at Sanders Thaler Viola & Katz, LLP, in Jericho, New York.

Gordon is active in the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) where he is a member of the multistate & local taxation committee. Additionally, he is the current president of NYSSCPA - Queens/Brooklyn chapter.

Gordon is a graduate of York College, CUNY where he earned a BA in Economics.
