Gee in-house represents SL Green in 36,823 s/f, seven-year lease to Yext

According to SL Green Realty Corp., Yext, Inc. has signed a seven-year lease covering 36,823 s/f at One Madison Ave. Yext is a leading Internet search engine that helps businesses appear in the most possible local searches. "Yext joins many other firms who have chosen to relocate their businesses in Midtown South, which is the hottest market in the country with a vacancy rate of less than 5%," said Steven Durels, executive VP, director of leasing and real property for SL Green. John Moran and Neal Goldmacher of Newmark Knight Frank represented Yext, while Ashley Gee acted on behalf of SL Green in-house. One Madison Ave. is a 1.18 million s/f building located on the entire block front between East 23rd and 24th Sts. directly across from Madison Sq. Park. The building is part of the New York headquarters campus for Credit Suisse. About SL Green SL Green Realty Corp., New York City's largest office landlord, is the only fully integrated real estate investment trust, or REIT, that is focused primarily on acquiring, managing and maximizing value of Manhattan commercial properties. As of March 31, 2012, SL Green owned interests in 70 Manhattan properties totaling more than 39 million s/f. This included ownership interests in 27.3 million s/f of commercial properties and debt and preferred equity investments secured by 11.7 million s/f of properties. In addition to its Manhattan investments, SL Green holds ownership interests in 32 suburban assets totaling 6.9 million s/f in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, Westchester County, Connecticut and New Jersey, along with four development properties in the suburbs encompassing approximately 0.5 million s/f.
