February 23, 2015 - New York City
According to CBRE Group, Inc., Jeff Fischer, a fast-rising brokerage professional in Manhattan office leasing has joined the firm as a first vice president. Fischer, who has represented major New York City owners and tenants, will be located in CBRE's Midtown Manhattan office.
"We are deeply focused on creating a strong platform and brand that is attractive to professionals like Jeff," said Kyle Schoppmann, executive managing director for CBRE's Midtown Manhattan operation. "Supporting the next generation of brokerage talent is critical to our continued growth and success in Manhattan."
"We are pleased to have Jeff join our team," said Matthew Van Buren, president, New York Tri-State Region, CBRE. "He has quickly established himself as a highly valued landlord and tenant representative and is still early in his career with an unlimited upside."
Fischer, who was selected for The Commercial Observer's 2012 "30 Under 30" list, has advised tenants throughout Manhattan on their office space relocation, lease renewal, and lease restructure. He has also devised and implemented marketing strategies on behalf of landlords and occupiers wishing to dispose of vacant or excess office space; constructed scenario development and leverage creation due diligence for office leasing transactions on behalf of tenants and landlords, and overseen comparative financial analysis associated with scenario development.
Among his most prominent transactions are advising ownership of 375 West Broadway, in SoHo, on the repositioning, rebranding, and renovation of the asset, which resulted in the leasing of all the building's vacant space and the ultimate highly successful sale of the property; representation of digital media and information service tenants, Vox Media and AlphaSights on their NYC HQ leases and his representation of several boutique financial service firms including Knighthead Capital and Valinor Management in their office space search and lease negotiations in Midtown Manhattan.
Fischer joins CBRE from JLL, where he was a senior vice president.
Fischer graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in May 2006.
A resident of Manhattan, he serves on the Israel Bonds New Leadership Cabinet.
