Federal Realty signs five tenants at Huntington Shopping Center as redevelopment nears completion

Huntington, NY According to Federal Realty Investment Trust, Clothes Horse, European Wax, Pacfe Nails, Häagen-Dazs and Street to Table have all signed leases to join Huntington Shopping Center as part of a $75 million redevelopment program. Also opening this summer is Whole Foods Market. The project is set to be completed this year, and recently celebrated the grand opening of The Container Store.

These new leases include:

• Clothes Horse (2,148 s/f): women’s clothing boutique;

• European Wax (1,268 s/f): New Long Island location for skin spa focused on wax treatments;

• Pacfe Nails (3,681 s/f): Third location for this Long Island-based nail studio;

• Häagen-Dazs (1,406 s/f): Ice cream shop; and

• Street to Table (2,679 s/f): Second location for the street food favorite from Hicksville.

“As our redevelopment of Huntington Shopping Center nears completion, we’re excited to add several local brands to our merchandising mix,” said Chris Fleming, VP of asset management at Federal Realty.

“Alongside Whole Foods, The Container Store and REI, these small shops will help draw and maintain new and repeat customers for years to come.”

The 21-acre community shopping center sits adjacent to Walt Whitman Mall on Rte. 110 in the main retail corridor. Including Clothes Horse, which is celebrating its grand opening now through June 23, since the redevelopment began, Huntington Shopping Center has opened nine new tenants such as The Container Store, REI, J.Crew Factory, Just Salad, Burger Village, Paris Baguette and others. Currently 94% leased, once the redevelopment is complete, the center will total more than 210,000 s/f of retail.

Clothes Horse was represented by Jason Sobel of RIPCO and European Wax worked with Anthony Russo of Cushman & Wakefield. Pacfe Nails was represented by Ryan Adhami of Schuckman Realty while both Häagen-Dazs and Street to Table were represented by Raj Whadwa of Global Realty Services. Joe Bynes and Chris Cole of Federal Realty handled the transactions on behalf of Huntington Shopping Center.
