Farchi and Tabibnia of Azad orchestrates joint venture between Kushner Cos. and an international real estate fund

Barry Farchi and Mansour Tabibnia, partners at Azad Property Group, orchestrated a JV partnership for a portfolio of eight walk-ups in the East Village, West Village and SoHo. Kushner Cos. along with an international real estate fund (who would like to remain anonymous) acquired the buildings from Benchmark. "We have been working closely with a few very active foreign funds that are looking to partner with strong real estate families who have strong roots in N.Y.C., so Kushner Cos. were a solid choice," said Tabibnia. "From the first meeting it was a marriage made in heaven." "This venture represents one of the largest packages sold in downtown this year," said Farchi. "Azad Property Group is actively seeking similar packages in the Village to add to the portfolio of this JV partnership." Azad Property Group saw its inception four months ago on Wall Street by the partners.
