Earn rebates and incentives for energy-efficient natural gas upgrades

If your commercial or industrial property uses natural gas and you are ready to transform it into a high-performance building, the Con Edison Green Team can help with rebates, incentives and technical expertise available through its Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Energy Efficiency Program. These rebates and incentives can help you minimize equipment replacement costs, lower operating costs, reduce carbon footprint and enhance the overall value and infrastructure of your property. Commercial and industrial “firm gas” customers in an existing building, and who pay the systems benefit charge, are eligible to participate in the program. Customers who are undergoing an oil-to-gas conversion and who have already signed a gas agreement with Con Edison may also be eligible for incentives. Does it make sense to invest in energy-saving measures for your building? One way to find it is to commission an energy efficiency study to evaluate your property’s energy use and learn how to increase its energy efficiency. If you commission an ASHREA Level 3 energy audit through the C&I Energy Efficiency Program, you could save up to 50% of the study cost. Already planning to replace equipment or undertake projects that will increase your building’s energy performance? Con Edison’s C&I Equipment Rebate and Custom Programs can help. You could save on high efficiency natural gas equipment such as furnaces, boilers, infrared heaters, heat exchangers, controls, process heating, system tune-ups, and pipe insulation through the program. Heating systems are major financial investments and the program is one way to protect that investment. The program offers up to $400 for maintenance and tune-ups, up to $15,000 for the installation of a high-efficiency boiler, up to 70% of the cost for pipe insulation, as well as other incentives. Con Edison’s Custom Program provides performance-based incentives for cost-effective, energy-efficient technologies not included in the Equipment Rebate Program. Controls can optimize building performance and help you run an intelligent facility that responds to your needs. The program offers incentives of $2 per therm based on the first year’s estimate savings for custom controls projects. Natural gas customers also have access to Con Edison’s Market Partners, a network of reputable, experienced and knowledgeable energy experts who can help identify and implement energy efficiency solutions. Over 600 pre-approved and trained energy efficiency contractors, distributors and other energy professionals participate in the Con Edison C&I Market Partner network. The Con Edison Green Team has an energy efficiency program available for almost everyone.
