Donnelly Mechanical updates HVAC for Coty

Donnelly Mechanical Corp. is updating the HVAC system at Coty, Inc. headquarters, located in the Empire State Building. The project will ensure that the structure retains its LEED Gold certification achieved in September 2011. Donnelly was qualified to ensure that Coty complied with all LEED Gold requirements. To achieve this, Donnelly updated the HVAC system across multiple floors and installed an Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF) closet and data center. Donnelly was commissioned for the project due to the firm's ability to perform the complex installations needed within a limited budget and tight schedule. The project required expert coordination of resources to ensure that all equipment was able to fit within the floor layout, overcoming the logistical challenges of working within the building and managing the building's exterior hoist limitations. The firm will continue to provide Coty with around-the-clock support services. Donnelly's contributions to the project will allow the Empire State Building to remain the tallest LEED certified building in the U.S. The iconic structure recently underwent a $120 million renovation that transformed the building in a more energy efficient and eco-friendly structure. The initiative was part of Empire State ReBuilding, a $550 million top-to-bottom renovation of the world-famous office building. Donnelly is one New York City's premier HVAC contractors, exclusively servicing commercial tenants. Founded in 1989, the firm is a leading integrated HVAC and energy company in the metropolitan area, offering client's a full range of services aiming to maximize energy efficiency and cost savings. The firm's team includes senior-level staff with LEED-accreditation from the U.S. Green Building Council.
