Devlin joins TLM Group

Katie Devlin, TLM Group Katie Devlin, TLM Group

New York, NY According to TLM Group, Katie Devlin has joined the firm as project manager to further develop their growing portfolio of regional and national accounts. Devlin comes with a wealth of experience within the industry, having spent the last 21 years at HLW.

Devlin is a versatile architect, a resourceful and creative individual with experience in all areas.

of pre-design, architecture, interior design, consultant coordination, construction and project close out.

Devlin was named one of the “New York’s Innovative Design Professionals” by the Professional Women in Construction organization and was recognized for her achievements at the PWC event in September 2015.  Professional Women in Construction (PWC) is an organization that strives to advance opportunities for women in construction and related industries.

Devlin is representing Canstruction New York Inc. as a finalist for the 2016 Executives’ Association of New York City (EANYC) “Deals of Distinction” Award being presented in May 2016.  The Award honors innovative business leaders who have a unique story to tell about a partnership that made a significant impact on the company and its success.

Her portfolio of work includes corporate headquarters for many Fortune 500 companies, technology and broadcast centers, public and private sector offices and health care and education facilities.

For an international financial corporation in midtown Manhattan, Katie worked with the client’s many consultants to juggle the inherent demands of transforming an occupied, mid-century skyscraper headquarters building into a LEED Platinum certified facility.  The team succeeded in achieving this milestone despite having to keep the original curtain wall intact.  All of the base building infrastructure systems were upgraded, and all the office floors, trading floors and amenity spaces were renovated.

A similar successful balancing act was achieved for another major financial corporation’s new global headquarters in an existing multi-tenant high-rise building in lower Manhattan.  Katie worked with the team of consultants to integrate the disparate requirements for the multiple floor, multiple phase project including a new world wide technology center, infrastructure riser and service upgrades, a rooftop chiller plant and emergency power plant installation, structural slab reinforcements, and fifteen floors of interior office and conference center renovation.

For a world-wide premium channel network, Katie worked with the in-house technical and broadcast teams and the outside consultant teams to construct a new broadcast transmission building connected to an existing transmission facility that provided the ability for the network to successfully expand their broadcast channel and digital content capability across North America and Europe.

Her volunteer work with non-profit organizations include Canstruction© New York Inc. and Creative Arts and Athletics.

Canstruction© New York Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that organizes and manages the annual design-build competition where architects, engineers, contractors, and students compete to create and build sculptures entirely made of canned food.  Katie serves as President of Canstruction© New York Inc., which is a division of the international charity Canstruction®.  The completed sculptures are displayed for public viewing in early November and then dismantled and the food from the sculptures is donated to City Harvest.  This event raises awareness about hunger in New York City in addition to helping meet the immediate need for food to restock soup kitchens and food pantries in time for Thanksgiving.

In addition, Katie serves on the Hatter’s Ball Committee, a group that raises funds for the Scholarship Program for the Creative Arts & Athletics Summer Camp.   Creative Arts & Athletics, founded in 1982, offers boys and girls from all over the city and beyond a chance to experience Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Athletics and Technology in an encouraging environment that cultivates expression.

Katie has had the phrase “Pass It On” instilled into her spirit by both her grandfather and her father, so “doing well by doing good” and giving back to the community whenever possible are not just catchphrases, they are words to live by.

The death of the generic offering memorandum: What buyers expect in 2025 - by Kimberly Zar Bloorian

There was a time when an offering memorandum (OM) was pretty bare bones, some photos, a few bullet points on income, and a rent roll thrown in at the back. That used to get the job done. Not anymore. In 2025, buyers are sharper, faster, and more selective. They’re looking
