DePaolo of Signature Bank named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year
According to Signature Bank, its president and CEO Joseph DePaolo received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2010 Award in the financial services category in Metro New York. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who are building and leading dynamic, growing businesses. DePaolo was selected by a panel of judges, and the award was presented at a gala event at the Marriott Marquis, Times Sq. on Tuesday, June 15.
When accepting the award, DePaolo said, "It's all about the team, and the consistent and persistent delivery of the team-first message is key to leading any organization."
DePaolo also reflected on Signature Bank's start. "Ten years ago, when we created the idea for Signature Bank and its focus on serving privately owned business, it all began with five employees and $50 million in assets. The bank has achieved remarkable growth since its inception, reaching nearly 650 employees and $10 billion in assets today," he said.
