Clara Datre, Daytree Custom Builders Inc.

Clara Datre was honored by the Long Island Builders Institute (LIBI), one of the state's largest homebuilders groups, for her work as the president of the organization in 2012.
Datre, president of Daytree Custom Builders Inc., was the group's first woman president in its 71-year history. Previously, she served as VP, treasurer and secretary of LIBI and was instrumental in creating LIBI's two charitable arms, Long Island Home Builders Cares Inc. and Long Island Building Cares Development Corp. She is currently chairperson of the LIBI board of directors.
Datre was honored at LIBI's 72nd annual black tie dinner dance on May 10th at the Woodbury County Club.
LIBI is a non-profit trade organization serving Long Island's homebuilders, remodelers and allied trades. It is the largest homebuilding organization in New York State, representing more than 450 corporate members. Its charitable arms include Long Island Home Builders Care, Inc., and Long Island Homebuilders Care Development Corp., which through its "Building New Homes for Returning Veterans" program constructs new homes for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.
