Richard Cohen, founder and principal of Ashlind Properties, has received a 2009 CoStar Power Broker Award, which recognizes the "best of the best" in commercial real estate brokerage.
Cohen, who founded Hauppauge-based Ashlind 20 years ago, received the award for being a top industrial leasing broker.
CoStar also recognized Ashlind as one of the industry's top performing brokerage firms nationally.
"I am pleased that CoStar again has seen fit to again recognize me and Ashlind for our hard work," said Cohen. "This award highlights our experience and our ongoing emphasis on our clients' interests."
Cohen and Ashlind have been recognized every year by CoStar since the awards were established in 2002.
All awards are based on transaction data in CoStar's commercial real estate database, the largest, independently researched database of commercial real estate property information available online.
