CoreNet Long Island presents $15,000 check to Make-A-Wish; Next event is a technology forum on October 19

Huntington, NY CoreNet Long Island held a Back-to-Business Cocktail Event at Prime on Tuesday, September 12th. The organization donated $15,000 to Make-A-Wish Metro New York from proceeds of CoreNet Long Island’s 21st Annual Charitable Golf Outing.

CoreNet Long Island’s next event is  titled, “Techonology Forum – The Future of Work.” The event will be held on Thursday, October 19 from  4  - 7 p.m.

The concept of work is changing in ways that were barely conceivable a few years ago and that will be barely recognizable in a few years. Technology is influencing and infiltrating virtually every aspect of work and the workplace. Attendees will hear from strategic leaders who are helping corporate real estate leaders manage and, in some ways, anticipate technological change.

Panelists include the following: 

• Peter Miscovich, managing director, JLL.

• Anita Napoli, consultant, applied research & consulting, Steelcase. 

• Carol Schwasnick, senior director, workplace solutions, CA Technologies.

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
