Consolo and Aquino of Prudential Douglas Elliman ink 5,700 s/f for Bond No. 9
Faith Hope Consolo, chairman, and Joseph Aquino, executive vice president of Prudential Douglas Elliman's Retail Group have orchestrated a 5,700 s/f showroom and corporate events space for Bond No. 9 at 42 Bond St., between the Bowery and Lafayette St.
Having previously arranged multiple store locations for the international fragrance company, they have now placed its new headquarters in a quintessential, circa 1900 Nolita loft building. Fellow tenants include a hip model and several advertising agencies. Situated next door to Ian Shrager's über posh condominium 40 Bond Street and surrounded by such trendsetting retail as John Varvatos and DQM, Bond No. 9, which names its fragrances after New York City streets and neighborhoods, is in the center of urbane style and downtown glamour.
"Over the years, we have focused only on the most strategic locations for Bond No. 9 stores," said Ms. Consolo. "Now that this unique collection is so completely ensconced in the fragrance lexicon of the city, we felt it was equally important to have the new showroom and corporate space on its namesake street, and on a block that is filled with old world-charm and modern cachet."
Added Mr. Aquino, "We're a virtual one-stop shop that has gone full circle with the brand, which we originally placed on Bond Street where it got its name, followed by two important Madison Avenue locations, then back downtown to Bleecker Street and, most recently to Manhattan's Meatpacking District and the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. Helping clients grow is exactly what we strive for."
Ms. Consolo and Mr. Aquino represented the tenant as its exclusive agents.

What noteworthy transactions or deals from this year best exemplified key market trends or shifts? I would like to say there was an outstanding transaction for me this past year but 2024 was more a culmination of long-term relationships, most of which continued to transact. Deals were smaller in many cases but we saw robust leasing both on the agency side as well as on the tenant side.
