Condren, Triglia and Danut of CPEX lease 900 s/f to Vendome Macaron at One Brooklyn Bridge

The CPEX New York retail leasing team completed a lease agreement at One Brooklyn Bridge with Vendome Macaron, a popular vendor at the Brooklyn food market Smorgasburg. The lease is for 900 s/f of ground floor commercial space at the base of 438 luxury residential units at One Brooklyn Bridge, which is located at 360 Furman St. in Brooklyn Heights and adjacent to Brooklyn Bridge Park. CPEX's retail leasing team, consisting of managing director Ryan Condren and associate directors Kristina Triglia and George Danut, represented the landlord in the lease transaction. The incoming tenant, Vendome Macaron, is opening their first retail location after becoming a wildly popular vendor at Smorgasburg, Williamsburg's food market on the waterfront. Founded in September 2010 by renowned pastry chef Taryn Garcia, Vendome Macaron offers macaroons in over 30 classic and signature flavors, and has been featured in numerous magazines for their desserts. They look to follow in the footsteps of other vendors such as Asia Dog, Butter & Scotch, Mighty Quinns, and Oaxaca Tacos who have gone on from the Brooklyn flea and Smorgasburg to open highly successful storefronts in Brooklyn. "One Brooklyn Bridge used to be known as being on the outskirts, but with the growth of the park and the area's residential community, this has now become a viable retail opportunity," said Condren. "This lease with Vendome Macaron is just a further example of Brooklyn's ongoing food boom, as yet another food vendor's success at the weekend food market allowed them to transition to a brick-and-mortar location." The CPEX New York Retail Leasing Team continues to market the remaining retail space at One Brooklyn Bridge, which offers approximately 50,000 square feet of available ground floor retail space.
