Prior to joining Insula-Dome Skylights, Colletta served as controller for Instruments for Industry (IFI, Ronkonkoma, N.Y.), a manufacturer of radio frequency wide-band amplifiers. He had been with the company since 1989, promoted to his last role in 1992. During the course of his tenure with IFI, Colletta developed highly-effective procedures for purchasing, receiving, inventory control, accounts payable and accounts receivable. He was involved in extensive liaison with senior management, banks, lenders and vendors. While at IFI, he was credited with successfully managing the company's receivables, credit and collections and facilitating its sound fiscal condition. His responsibilities at IFI also encompassed various Human Resources functions, including training initiatives, benefit plan negotiations and trusteeship of the company's 401(k) plan.
Colletta received his bachelor's of Business Administration in Accounting from Briarcliffe College (Bethpage and Patchogue, N.Y.). He also holds an associates degree in Accounting from Suffolk Community College (Selden, N.Y.). Among his other academic achievements was his 1st Place award in the New York State Phi Beta Lambda competition titled, "Accounting for Professionals - Financial Concepts" held in Herkimer, New York in April of 2006. In addition, he earned 8th Place in the National Phi Beta Lambda Leadership Conference held in Nashville, Tennessee in June of 2006.
Colletta has served in the IRS Certified Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program for tax years 2004, 2005 and 2006.
