Cohen of Ashlind Properties brokers sale of 64,224 s/f building

Richard Cohen of Ashlind Properties arranged the purchase of a 64,224 s/f industrial building by DEA Products Inc. and a leaseback of a portion of the building by the seller. DEA, a manufacturer of motor and transmission mounts now based in Holbrook, N.Y., purchased the building at 845 S. 1st St. from Corporate Transport Express, a distributor of office and home furnishings, which leased back 30,000 s/f. DEA paid $4.82 million, or about $75 per s/f for the building, which was constructed in 2002. Cohen represented DEA Products, which already has moved some of its operations into the unused space. Doug Donatelli of Metro Realty Services represented Corporate Transport Express. Ashlind, now, is seeking a buyer for DEA's old facility, a 17,000 s/f building on 1 acre at 790 Broadway, Holbrook. Including the DEA transaction, Ashlind so far this year has consummated real estate deals totaling almost 700,000 s/f. Ashlind Properties is an independent, full-service commercial real estate firm that provides a high level of specialized industrial real estate brokerage.
