Clinton Management inks 1,301 s/f lease renewal at Douglaston’s 555 West 23rd

Manhattan, NY Clinton Management, the property management and brokerage affiliate of Douglaston Development, has signed a 1,301 s/f, five-year lease renewal with Andrea Rosen Gallery at Douglaston’s 555 West 23rd St. in West Chelsea (the retailer has an address of 544 West 24th St.) Clinton Management represented both the landlord and the tenant in the transaction.

“We are excited to extend Andrea Rosen’s presence at the building as we continue our long-standing mission of facilitating and supporting arts initiatives across the robust gallery district that has grown in West Chelsea,” said Ryan O’Connor, chief executive officer of Clinton Management. “Creating opportunities for both new and established artists through our commercial space offerings in the region has been paramount to our firm and we look forward to the continued success of Andrea Rosen in the neighborhood.”

Widely recognized for its representation of conceptual artist, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Andrea Rosen Gallery will continue to utilize the ground floor space at the building as its primary office for its work related to the representation of Gonzalez-Torres and its support of contemporary experiential programming.

Additional art purveyors operating within the property’s 11,000 s/f retail space offering include Art9 Comics, LLC, Detour Gallery and Fredricks and Frasier Gallery.

Andrea Rosen Gallery is part of Douglaston’s 555 West 23rd Street, aimed to provide quality value for young, first-time buyers. Upon completion in 2006, the building has a luxury condo offering in an emerging neighborhood. The two-story lobby houses a large central atrium, which features a water wall, leather panels, sculptural furniture and art from local galleries. In-unit features include fully equipped open kitchens, wood cabinets and floors and washer/dryers.

Additionally, the project includes a 12,000 s/f landscaped terrace, 2,000 s/f fitness center, residents lounge, 105 on-site parking spaces, and is situated within close proximity to multiple forms of transportation including the A, C, E, L and 1 subway lines as well as multiple bus routes.
