CIBS-LI elects new officers and board members

According to the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS-LI), David Chinitz has been elected president for a two-year term. His term began Jan. 1st. The professional group also elected other officers and board members. Chinitz is president of Park Place Realty Group LLC. He formerly was VP of CIBS and had served as a board member for 10 years. Kyle Burkhardt, a partner at Alliance Real Estate Corp., was elected VP. He previously had been treasurer. David Leviton, a senior VP in the Melville office of CBRE, was elected treasurer. He previously served as secretary. Daniel Wiener, a partner at Integrated Realty Group LLC, was elected secretary. He previously was a board member. CIBS-LI members reelected to serve to the board were: * David Pennetta, SIOR, the executive director and managing broker Cushman & Wakefield of Long Island, Inc., Melville. * Daniel Gazzola is a managing director in the Melville office of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. Newly elected board members are: * Joseph Lagano II is an associate in the Melville office of Jones Lang LaSalle. * Ted Stratigos is a principal and managing director of the Melville office of Avison Young. * Bradley Diamond is an associate at Lee & Associates BQLI in Great Neck, was elected an associate board member. "CIBS members are professionals who play a significant role in the economic growth and vitality of the region. For more than 20 years CIBS has maintained a valuable and respected role in the discussion of commercial development on Long Island and has provided vital support and education for its members," said Chinitz. "As the new president, I join with the officers and board members in recommitting ourselves to our purpose, which is to remain an active voice for the commercial real estate industry and to renew our support of the communities we serve. CIBS, as a nonprofit organization keeps up with trends and the ever-changing demands of the industry. This organization can be proud of its history of funding educational scholarships and programs to benefit its membership and I pledge to continue these traditions."
