Chiarella and Fowler of Weichert represent tenant in 121,019 s/f office lease; Assisted by Pike of George Comfort & Sons; C&W represents the owner

According to John Udell, president of Weichert Commercial Brokerage, Inc., senior VPs Mario Chiarella and Mark Fowler, in collaboration with Dana Pike, senior VP of George Comfort & Sons, Inc. have completed an office lease of 121,019 s/f located at 1211 Avenue of Americas. Chiarella, Fowler and Pike represented the tenant, AXIS Reinsurance Co. AXIS will relocate its corporate headquarters location from Park Ave. to 121,019 s/f located at 1211 Avenue of Americas, a 45-story, 2 million s/f, class A office building. The tenant has leased the 24th, 25th and 26th floors and will relocate into the new space over the next few years. Cushman & Wakefield represented the owner, Beacon Capital Partners. Pike also assisted Chiarella and Fowler on behalf of the tenant. This is the third lease transaction in which Chiarella and Fowler have represented AXIS Reinsurance. In December 2009, the two represented AXIS in the lease of 26,614 s/f of office space at One University Square in Princeton, N.J., and in May 2010 the two negotiated the lease of 31,000 s/f of office space located at 300 Connell Dr. in Berkeley Heights, N.J. "We are extremely pleased to have had another opportunity to assist AXIS Reinsurance," said Chiarella. "This location allows AXIS to consolidate its New York operations under one roof at a prime location within the heart of New York City."
