Cheng joins H2M as a project architect

Pansy Cheng, R.A., LEED AP has joined the staff of H2M architects + engineers as a project architect, primarily focusing on library design. Cheng joins H2M with over 22 years of experience in municipal and institutional projects. She previously worked for Uniondale-based RXR for, where she was responsible for the design of over 50 office buildings. Prior to RXR, Cheng was a project architect with Bohemia-based Ward Associates. "As an architect, I am able to directly contribute to people's everyday life experiences and memories by creating built environments that they utilize," Cheng said. Cheng, who emigrated alone from Hong Kong to the United States at 15 years old, was sent by her parents to attend boarding school. Upon completion of boarding school, Cheng went on to obtain both a Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rhode Island School of Design. Married over 18 years to her husband, Greg, the couple resides in their Stony Brook home along with their pet duck.
