CBRE arranges multiple leases totaling 40,000 s/f

Manhattan, NY CBRE has completed several new office leases at 26 West 17th Street, a boutique office building the Flatiron District owned by The Winter Organization. A multifaceted prebuilt program instituted by the property’s ownership has resulted in approximately 40,000 s/f in new office leases on floors 9 through 12 by a diverse group of tenants.

The CBRE team of David Stockel and Taylor Walker represented the ownership in the lease negotiations with the new tenants.

Among the new tenants leasing full-floor pre-built space at the property is Mercury Technologies, a fintech company working with early-stage start-ups. Faire Wholesale, an online wholesale marketplace for retailers and brands, and Scale Microgrids, which provides financing options for microgrid customers and other distributed energy projects such as community solar installations.

“All the tenants sought turnkey space solutions emphasizing modern design and high-end materials and finishes,” said Stockel. “26 West 17th Street met the needs of the tenants with its offering, which successfully brought occupancy in the building to 100%.”

The Winter Organization tasked MKDA with designing modern prebuilt suites that would enhance the natural beauty of the loft-like space. With open-plan layouts and private offices and conference rooms along the perimeter, the pre-built program fashioned a bright, inviting atmosphere for prospective tenants.
