Campagnola and Dupuis promoted at VHB

VHB, which has been ranked as one of the top engineering firms in the U.S., has announced two promotions. Paul Campagnola has been promoted to director of transportation at VHB. In his new role Campagnola will be responsible for overseeing a variety of transportation and development projects. VHB recently named Richard Dupuis, P.E. as a team leader in the firm's land development group. Dupuis, a senior project manager, will be responsible for civil engineering design and permitting for a wide range of site development projects for institutional, corporate and public sector clients on Long Island. His civil engineering experience includes site engineering, feasibility studies, hydraulics, environmental permitting, and construction management and administration. Prior to joining VHB in March 2008, Campagnola was director of highway planning and permits for the Suffolk County Department of Public Works. At VHB he has worked on a number of significant regional projects including the Safe Route to Schools in the Uniondale School District, a federally funded project to develop pedestrian facilities, traffic calming devices and driver awareness initiatives for students. He is also involved in evaluating a conceptual plan to develop a traffic roundabout at an entrance to the Links golf course in North Hills, N.Y. and is the project manager responsible for traffic engineering services at The Shops at Riverhead, a proposed retail development on Route 58 in Riverhead, N.Y. Prior to Dupuis' new position on Long Island, he worked in the firm's Providence, R.I. and Watertown, Mass. offices. Since beginning his career at VHB in 1997 he has contributed to a number of high profile developments including the 225,300 s/f Texas Instruments Research and Development Center in Attleboro, Mass.; Pointe South Mountain Resort-Watergarden, a six-acre water recreation facility in Phoenix, Ariz.; and the 450,000 s/f campus of Reebok's World Headquarters in Canton, Mass. Dupuis' extensive experience coupled with VHB's depth of integrated services will provide clients with a new dimension in delivering high quality services and cost-effective results.
