Building Long Island Magazine supports WWP

Building Long Island publisher Deborah Herman presented a donation for $2,080 in support of the Wounded Warriors Project's (WWP) second annual Soldier Ride event: "Babylon to the Beaches." Soldier Ride participants and their families were welcomed at a dinner sponsored by the Town of Babylon and the Suffolk County Police First Precinct Brotherhood at the American Airpower Museum on July 22. "We are thrilled to have been able to provide an organization as important as the Wounded Warrior Project with this donation and exposure," said Herman. "I truly hope this opens up new avenues of support for the organization here on Long Island. We look forward to a time when there will be no more Wounded Warriors, but while there are we applaud the work of the project." The WWP provides services and programs to the more than 30,000 troops who have been injured in recent conflicts.
