Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce to honor Walentas of Two Trees Management and Howard of PACC at Building Brooklyn Awards

The Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce will host its 11th Annual Building Brooklyn Awards (BBA) on Thursday, July 14 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music honoring Jed Walentas, principal, Two Trees Management Co., and Deb Howard, executive director, Pratt Area Community Council. Walentas will be honored for his long term commitment to sustainable neighborhood development in DUMBO, support of its arts community and ongoing work in the DUMBO Business Improvement District. Howard will be honored for her tenure at PACC which has been marked by PACC's entry into and success as a leader in the affordable housing market. Her role in the leveraging of public and private investment within PACC's catchment area will leave a legacy of neighborhood growth. The BBAs salute a wide range of project types, budgets and neighborhoods. This year's event will be hosted at the Brooklyn Academy of Music where the Chamber will highlight important design and construction achievements in Brooklyn. The Building Brooklyn Awards ceremony and cocktail reception has attracted more than 400 attendees in years past, and is the Chamber's signature event showcasing Brooklyn real estate and development projects. Attendees include a cross-section of real estate industry professionals - brokers, developers, banking & finance, architecture & design, small business development, construction, government and other related industries. The event will also feature a limited number of display tables so companies can promote their products and services.
