Melville, NY On May 15th, BOMA Long Island coordinated an Active Shooter Prepared Awareness Class for its members. The class was given on behalf of Summit Security with detective Cliff Lent of Homeland Security and Criminal Intelligence Bureau. It is unfortunate that this topic has become a normal occurrence in our world today. When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
